INDIA SILVER MARKET 02
What the MCX silver price means
Silver futures in rupees per kilogram
MCX Silver Futures are exchange-traded contracts quoted in Indian rupees for a kilogram of silver. The displayed continuous symbol is useful for following the market, while a specific contract month has its own expiry, liquidity and price. Always check the contract selected before comparing quotes.
MCX futures and retail silver are different
An exchange futures quote is not the same as a jeweller’s silver rate or a dealer’s buyback price. Retail prices can reflect product premiums, purity, fabrication, freight, applicable taxes and local business costs. Coin and bar rates can differ from jewellery rates.
Why the MCX rate changes
Indian silver futures can respond to global silver prices, the rupee’s exchange value, domestic market conditions, contract supply and demand, and expectations about industry and investment. Futures can also differ from spot because their contract month and financing costs matter.
SilverMCX.Live is designed for people in India who want to follow the MCX silver futures market in rupees. The page identifies the MCX continuous silver futures symbol and links to the exchange’s INR-based quote. It does not use IP location to guess a retail rate for your city.
For an apples-to-apples comparison, note whether a quote is for spot silver or futures, which contract month it refers to, its quote unit, timestamp and data delay. A local seller’s rate may also include costs that are not part of the exchange quote.
The page shows an indicative global spot reference, then links to official MCX quotes and TradingView’s chart page. TradingView blocks the MCX symbol in third-party widgets, and the MCX feed is not licensed for on-page display here. See our data methodology and privacy policy for details.
QUICK ANSWERS 04
Silver MCX live FAQs
Key details for reading the silver price today in India.
What is the live value shown above?
It is an indicative global silver spot benchmark converted to Indian rupees per kilogram. It is not the MCX Silver Futures quote. Use the MCX Market Watch link for the exchange’s current futures price.
Where can I see the current silver MCX live price?
Open the official MCX Market Watch link below the live reference and find the SILVER futures row. Check the expiry date, LTP, unit and timestamp shown by MCX. The website does not copy that exchange quote into this page.
Is the MCX silver price quoted in rupees?
Yes. MCX Silver Futures are quoted in Indian rupees per kilogram (₹/kg). Check the unit and timestamp shown in the official market watch when reading its current quote.
Is this the same as today’s local silver rate?
No. The MCX figure is a futures-market reference. Retail silver rates can differ because of the product’s purity and form, local costs, premiums and applicable taxes. Ask the seller for the complete price breakdown.
Why is the MCX futures chart external?
The price above is global silver spot. The graph below uses daily COMEX front-month closes, so neither display is an MCX futures quote. TradingView blocks the MCX symbol in its third-party chart widgets, so its hosted chart opens from the link above. An on-page MCX quote or chart requires a data feed subscription and display rights.
What does SILVER1! mean?
SILVER1! is TradingView’s continuous-contract symbol for MCX Silver Futures. Continuous symbols connect successive futures contracts for charting; they are not an individual expiry contract.
